For pain, I took vitamin I on many mornings for long stretches, particularly to assist with a sprained ankle in Maine and a bruised hip I picked up in New Hampshire that flared up for a while.
Once everything loosened up after an hour or two on the trail, I had no need for more Vitamin I until the next morning. When the nagging aches healed up, I stopped taking the Vitamin I. |

I ate ibuprofen like popcorn during my hike. Luckily, I still have a stomach.
